Daniela Herrmann, co-Founder
Daniela Herrmann is a serial entrepreneur, a tech, business, and financial industry leader passionate about innovation for global good. Investing in businesses with global reach and significant impact, she brings a wealth of experience in growing and scaling small and midsize companies set to change the future. Daniela is the Co-founder of Dynex, a leading Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) technology solving real-world problems at scale by leveraging neuromorphic quantum computing emulations with approximately 1 million qubits embedded in a unique decentralized network upholding ethical integrity. She is also the Mission Leader of Dynex Moonshots, Dynex's Family Office, who is the Ethical Steward of Dynex and is propelling visionary companies, institutions and educational programs with pioneering solutions through investments, co-developments of technology via access to Dynex's QaaS technology and strategic companionship.
Daniela is also the President and Founder of the Topan®️ Ecosystem (2011), including Topan®️ and Mapufin®️, a group of innovation-driven companies across business, finance and investment management, focused on developing Economic, Ecological and Ethical values (Triple-E®️ tech). Topan®️ (2011), provides growth and scale companionship along with Triple-E®️ implementation and measurement. Mapufin®️ (2019), is a data-science and AI-driven proprietary FinTech company that designs quantitative sustainable investment strategy solutions for structured products with a focus on public markets.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from the University of Zurich. Prior to her journey in innovation and technology, she held executive roles in the financial and investment industry, where her latest executive role was with the leading European asset manager in the Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) space. Building on the track record of being honored as a Finalist for the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards in 2014 and a nominee for the ‘Woman in Tech Award 2020’, Daniela has since been recognized by the WomenTech Global Awards 2025 as a nominee in the ‘Women-Led Startup in Tech of the Year’ category. Additionally, she has been honored alongside Dynex as one of the four ‘Technologists of the Year’, as part of Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech 2024 Award. Additionally, Dynex has been honored with the ‘BIG Innovation Award 2025’ by Business Intelligence Group (https://www.bintelligence.com/) and is a Finalist for the SXSW Innovation Awards in the ‘WTF: What the Future’ category.

As the Head of Innovation and Science at Dynex, he drives groundbreaking projects that push technological boundaries on a global scale. Staying at the forefront of AI, he leverages advancements from early CNNs to modern Transformer architectures and diffusion models, while actively contributing to the open-source community. Proficient in multiple programming languages, he develops scalable quantum solutions and collaborates with industry leaders to transform breakthrough ideas into real-world innovations.
